My Journey with Music
Music has always been a significant part of my life, weaving its way through my earliest memories. I can vividly recall the simpler times, sitting in the backseat of my mom’s car, with the radio playing tunes that seemed to soundtrack my childhood. Every song felt like an adventure, and I’d fall in love with so many of them. Those carefree moments with music in the background became cherished memories, shaping a passion that would follow me into later stages of my life.
Before I ventured into web design, I was deeply immersed in music production. I remember the excitement and ambition that came with every new track I created. With each song, I’d tell myself, “This is the one. This is the song that’s going to blow up and change everything.” That belief fueled my determination, and I poured my heart into every beat, every melody, and every mix. I was ambitious, perhaps to a fault, but that ambition kept me going.
I started producing music using a free platform called SoundTrap. Every song I created felt like a personal masterpiece, and I gave it my all. But as with any new venture, my early efforts were far from perfect. I wasn’t great at it initially, but I refused to let that discourage me. With each song, I held onto the dream that one of them would catch fire on TikTok or another social media platform, propelling me into the music industry. I had visions of upgrading my equipment, taking my skills to the next level, and finally starting my professional music career.
Sadly, that dream never quite materialized. Despite the countless hours I poured into my craft, the results didn’t match my expectations. Most of my songs barely garnered a handful of listens, and even a “successful” track might reach only 10 views. It was a hard pill to swallow, realizing that despite my passion and hard work, the dream of becoming a famous music producer was slipping away. I came to understand just how saturated the world of music production was, and to truly stand out, you had to be a prodigy in the field.
Though I didn’t achieve the fame I once sought, my journey in music taught me invaluable lessons about creativity, perseverance, and the reality of pursuing highly competitive fields. Even though I’ve shifted my focus to web design, the experience of music production still holds a special place in my heart. It shaped me, not only as a creative but also as someone who learned how to dream big, work hard, and move forward when things don’t go as planned.
